The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern St. Louis County in northeastern Minnesota...

* Until 100 AM CDT Tuesday.

* At 954 PM CDT Monday, Trained weather spotters reported 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain and flash flooding across the 
  warned area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. 
  Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the 
  warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Trained spotters reported flooding roadways between
           Rice Lake Road and Kenwood Road along Arrowhead Road
           in Duluth.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Superior, Hermantown, City of Rice Lake, East Hillside, Chester 
  Park, Central Hillside, Kenwood, Duluth Heights, Congdon Park, 
  Piedmont Heights, Denfeld and Morley Hts/Parkview.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
