The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  An Ice Jam Break in...
  The Roaring Fork River Basin from the town of Basalt through 
  Carbondale, in southeast Garfield County.

* Until 700 PM MST.

* At 105 PM MST, stream gage reports a rapid drop in water level 
  along the Roaring Fork River near Basalt, CO. The potential for an 
  ice jam release on the Roaring Fork River is imminent which would 
  result in a wave of water, ice and debris downstream.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding from an ice jam release.

  SOURCE...Gage reported.

  IMPACT...Rapid rise in water level and flow downstream Snowmass
           Canyon.

* The nearest downstream town is Basalt, CO. 

This includes the following streams and drainages...
Roaring Fork River
A wave of water, ice and debris moving down the Roaring Fork River 
from Basalt to Carbondale is imminent.
