...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 AM CST SATURDAY 
FOR SOUTHEASTERN ANDREWS, EASTERN ECTOR, SOUTHWESTERN MARTIN AND 
NORTHWESTERN MIDLAND COUNTIES...

At 1057 PM CST, An NWS employee reported thunderstorms producing 
flash flooding at 42nd and Dixie in Odessa. Between 0.5 and 1 inch 
of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are 
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Midland, Odessa, Midland International Air and Space Port, West 
  Odessa, Warfield, Odessa Schlemeyer Field, Midland Airpark and 
  Cotton Flat.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
