...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM EST /330 PM CST/ THIS 
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following counties, 
  Elkhart, La Porte and St. Joseph and southwest Michigan, including 
  the following counties, Berrien, Branch, Cass MI and St. Joseph MI.

* WHEN...Until 430 PM EST /330 PM CST/.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 122 PM EST /1222 PM CST/, trained weather spotters
    reported heavy rain in the advisory area due to rain and
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen with
    additional rainfall expected through this evening.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    South Bend, Elkhart, Mishawaka, Michigan City, La Porte,
    Niles, Benton Harbor, St. Joseph, Three Rivers, Dowagiac,
    Westville, Buchanan, Georgetown, Trail Creek, Granger,
    Gulivoire Park, Simonton Lake, Fair Plain, Benton Heights and
    Osceola.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
