  The Open Waters 20 to 40 NM south of Moriches Inlet to Montauk
Point NY...

* Until 1100 PM EST.
          
* At 958 PM EST, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Buoy 44017 to 32 nm southeast of Shinnecock
  Inlet to 28 nm southeast of Moriches Inlet, moving east at 40
  knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 
           suddenly higher waves.

* Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts 34 knots or greater, high waves, lightning, and heavy rain
are expected with these storms. If caught on the open water stay
below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal objects.
