The backcountry AVALANCHE WATCH does not apply to highway avalanche programs or operating skis areas. * WHEN...In effect now through Thursday 4 AM MST. * IMPACTS...Large, natural and human-triggered avalanches will become near certain as heavy snowfall and wind overload a weak, unstable snowpack.
