GALLATIN NATIONAL FOREST AVALANCHE CENTER.

ISSUED ON March 18 2025 AT 446 AM MDT

The Gallatin NF Avalanche Center in Bozeman has issued a
BACKCOUNTRY AVALANCHE WARNING 

IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED


* WHAT...The avalanche danger is HIGH on all slopes. Natural and human-
  triggered slides are very likely.

* WHERE...The Centennial Mountains near Island Park, the Lionhead
  area near West Yellowstone.

* WHEN...In effect until Wed 600 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Heavy snowfall combined with very strong winds have 
   overloaded many slopes and avalanches will run far downhill.

* PRECAUTIONARY / PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Very dangerous avalanche
  conditions exist.Travel in avalanche terrain is not 
  recommended. Avoid traveling on or under slopes steeper than 30 
  degrees.
