At 700 PM CHST...0900 UTC...the center of Typhoon Soulik was
located near Latitude 25.0 degrees North and Longitude
139.9 degrees East. Typhoon Soulik is moving toward the north at
3 mph. It is expected to make a turn toward the west-northwest
with a slight increase in forward speed over the next 24 hours.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to 110 mph. Typhoon Soulik
is forecast to intensify through Sunday.

Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to
50 miles. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the
center up to 145 miles.
