It is expected to turn toward the northeast later tonight. Rainbands will continue to affect the region overnight and Tuesday. Occasional wind gusts to around 30 mph will be possible in these bands across Lavaca and DeWitt counties. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches, with locally higher amounts, is possible across Lavaca and DeWitt counties, which could lead to localized flooding. A Flash Flood Watch is still in effect. Conditions are forecast to improve across Lavaca and DeWitt counties Tuesday night into Wednesday as Beta begins to move northeast along the upper Texas coast.
