The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northwestern San Miguel County in southwestern Colorado...
  Southwestern Montrose County in west central Colorado...

* Until 400 PM MDT.

* At 328 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles northeast
  of Slick Rock, or 25 miles east of La Sal, moving east at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  northwestern San Miguel and southwestern Montrose Counties.

 This includes the following highways...
 Colorado 90 between mile markers 18 and 32.
 Colorado 141 between mile markers 64 and 70.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground
lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately.
Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can
