...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT MAUI IN MAUI COUNTY THROUGH 930
PM HST...

At 826 PM HST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Hana, or 31 miles east of Kahului. This thunderstorm was nearly
stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Kipahulu, Hana, Nahiku, Hamoa, and Haleakala National Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
