...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 200 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN PASCO...NORTHERN MANATEE...NORTHWESTERN POLK AND
EASTERN HILLSBOROUGH COUNTIES...

At 144 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 8 miles north of Plant City to near West Samoset,
moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Lakeland, Sarasota, Bradenton, Plant City, Auburndale, Mulberry, Polk
City, Alafia River State Park, Lake Manatee State Park, and Lakewood
Ranch.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 PM EDT for central and
west central Florida.

A tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can
develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not
immediately likely, if one is spotted act quickly and move to a place
of safety inside a sturdy structure, such as a small interior room.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
