At 527 PM CST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line 
extending from near Persia to near Glenwood to near Eagle to extreme 
southwest Saline county, moving southeast at 40 mph. The back edge 
of the snow squall extended from near Blair to Elkhorn to Gretna to 
extreme southeast Lincoln, also moving southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Whiteout conditions with near zero visibility associated 
         with intense bursts of heavy snow and gusty winds leading 
         to blowing snow. Wind gusts greater than 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar and webcams.

IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous 
         within minutes.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 29 between mile markers 1 and 82.
 Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 1 and 43.
 Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 439 and 454.

Locations impacted include...
Omaha, Council Bluffs, Bellevue, Papillion, Beatrice, Nebraska City,
Ralston, Fairbury, Tecumseh, Offutt AFB, La Vista, Plattsmouth,
Glenwood, Carter Lake, Missouri Valley, Syracuse, Wilber, Hickman,
Logan, and Springfield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Consider avoiding or delaying travel until the snow squall passes
your location. If you must travel, use extra caution and allow extra
time. Rapid changes in visibility and slick road conditions may lead
to accidents.
