and most of the region in severe to extreme drought is conducive
to rapid development of any wildfire that begins this afternoon.
Winds should begin to diminish by 4 PM.

THE COMBINATION OF VERY LOW HUMIDITY, GUSTY WINDS 15 MPH WITH
GUSTS 20 TO 25 MPH, AND DRY FUELS FOR THE NORTHERN RANCHLANDS...

The National Weather Service in Brownsville has issued a Red Flag
Warning for very low humidity, gusty winds, and dry fuels which 
is in effect until 5 PM CST this afternoon.

* AFFECTED AREA...Zapata, Jim Hogg, Brooks and Inland Kenedy.

* TIMING...Until 5 PM CST this afternoon.

* WINDS...North to northeast 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 12 percent, with pocket of 8 to 10
  percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Up to 66.

* LIGHTNING...None.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread 
  quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to errating to potentially extreme fire behavior.
