Progressive low pressure system crossing the Southern Rockies on 
Thursday, increasing winds significantly during the afternoon and 
evening hours. West-southwest winds with sustained speeds of 25 to
30 knots and gusts as high as 50 knots will begin as early as 10 
AM and continue through late Thursday night. Peak winds occurring 
roughly around 3 PM. Blowing dust causing reductions in visibility
during the early afternoon hours. Prevailing visibility expected 
to be 3 to 5 miles, with temporary reductions below 2 miles mid-
afternoon.

Winds will diminish below warning criteria around midnight and
into Friday morning. Additional warnings may be needed Friday and
Saturday afternoons as winds pick back up.
