Surface observations and traffic cameras indicate patchy dense fog has developed over the last hour across portions of southeast Louisiana and south Mississippi. The main area of concern would be along the Interstate 55 corridor and areas surrounding Lake Pontchartrain, where visibilities may be as low as one quarter mile. People traveling during the morning commute should be exercise caution and be prepared for rapid changes in visibilities over short distances. Visibilities are expected to improve by 9 or 10 AM CST. $$
