...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM CDT TUESDAY 
FOR NORTHERN JASPER AND NORTHEASTERN NEWTON COUNTIES...

At 948 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain have begun to shift south of the warned area. However, radar 
estimates that between 2 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen across 
the warned area this evening. Flooding impacts are likely to 
continue through the evening due to lingering runoff. Conditions 
should then improve overnight.

HAZARD...Flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage
         ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and
         other poor drainage areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  DeMotte, Wheatfield, Roselawn, Stoutsburg, Thayer and Sumava 
  Resorts.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Warning means rapid-onset flooding is imminent or may 
already be occurring. Persons along creeks, drainage ditches, and 
other waterways should take immediate precautions to protect life 
and property.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Report flooding to the National Weather Service or your local law 
enforcement agency only when you can do so safely.
