...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT THIS 
AFTERNOON FOR SOUTHWESTERN KENNEBEC, NORTHWESTERN SAGADAHOC, 
ANDROSCOGGIN, CUMBERLAND AND NORTHEASTERN YORK COUNTIES...

At 1234 PM EDT, Gauge reports indicated that heavy rain was falling 
across the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen 
across the warned area. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches 
are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

SOURCE...Gauges reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Portland, Lewiston, South Portland, Auburn, Biddeford, Brunswick, 
  Augusta, Westbrook, Bath and Gardiner.This includes the I 95 and I 
  295 corridors.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
