...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM CDT THIS 
EVENING FOR NORTHERN MENOMINEE COUNTY...

At 441 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have 
fallen in a small area near Hermansville and north of US-2 west to 
near Three Curve Park. Additional light rainfall of up to 0.5 inches 
are possible in the warned area. Although heavy rain has ended, 
flooding may continue for a couple hours while water recedes, 
especially along the Little Cedar River.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, culverts,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Powers, Hermansville, Wilson, Spalding and Cunard.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
