...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM CST THIS 
AFTERNOON FOR COPIAH, NORTHWESTERN SIMPSON, NORTHWESTERN LINCOLN, 
SOUTHEASTERN CLAIBORNE, FRANKLIN AND EASTERN JEFFERSON COUNTIES...

At 104 PM CST, emergency management reported flash flooding in the 
McCall Creek area. Between 3 and 8 inches of rain have fallen in 
portions of the warned area. The expected rainfall rate is 0.25 
inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are 
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

  Crystal Springs, Hazlehurst, Meadville, Bude, Roxie, Pleasant 
  Hill, Allen, Caseyville, Mcbride, Union Church, Barlow, Peyton, 
  Blue Hill, Mccall Creek, New Hope, Glancy, Dentville, 
  Martinsville, Mcnair and Kirby.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where 
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become 
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or 
creeks.
