...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM CDT EARLY THIS 
MORNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN LEAKE, NORTHEASTERN SCOTT, SOUTHERN NESHOBA 
AND NORTHERN NEWTON COUNTIES...

At 350 AM CDT, emergency management reported earlier flash flooding 
in Standing Pine in Leake County and Dixon and Philadelphia in 
Neshoba County. Between 5 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. 
Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the 
warned area.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Union, Decatur, Walnut Grove, Conehatta, Hillsboro, Standing Pine, 
  Sebastopol, Harperville, Lena, Prospect, Stratton, Dixon, Neshoba, 
  Steele, Little Rock, House, Tuscola, Duffee and Herbert Springs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
