...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 AM EDT EARLY THIS 
MORNING FOR CENTRAL ALEXANDER COUNTY...

At 100 AM EDT, The threat for additional heavy rain had ended and 
this warning has been replaced by a flood warning for lingering 
excessive runoff.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Taylorsville, Lake Hickory, Hiddenite, Vashti and Millersville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
