NORTHWESTERN WOODBURY...SOUTHWESTERN PLYMOUTH...NORTHERN DAKOTA...
CENTRAL DIXON AND SOUTHEASTERN UNION COUNTIES...

At 949 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain across the warned area. Radar indications suggest up to four 
inches of rain have already fallen in the Ponca area with amounts in 
the Sioux City area approaching one and half inches. Flash flooding 
may be ongoing.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sioux City, Ponca, South Sioux City, North Sioux City, Dakota City,
Jefferson, Jackson In Dakota County, Martinsburg, Ponca State Park
and Waterbury.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
