...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 AM CDT FOR
LAKE...NORTHERN MINNEHAHA...MINER...MCCOOK AND EASTERN HANSON
COUNTIES...

At 1247 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already
fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Madison, Lake Vermillion State Recreation Area, Lake Herman State
Park, Dell Rapids, Hartford, Salem, Crooks, Garretson, Baltic,
Howard, Colton, Canistota, Humboldt, Bridgewater, Montrose, Emery,
Ramona, Wentworth, Spencer In McCook County and Winfred.

Local law enforcement reported street flooding along residential 
streets in Madison. Additional rainfall of up to 2 inches is 
possible through 145 PM.  This will lead to additional flooding 
across the area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
