...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM CDT THIS 
EVENING FOR NORTHWESTERN CALLAHAN, SOUTHEASTERN JONES, SOUTHWESTERN 
SHACKELFORD AND NORTHEASTERN TAYLOR COUNTIES...

At 431 PM CDT, Local law enforcement reported several high water 
vehicle rescues in Abilene. One house was flooded on the 1200 block 
of Westmoreland Street. Also, significant flooding was occurring on 
Cat Claw and Cedar Creeks. Rainfall amounts have been 3 to 4 inches 
with additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches expected in the 
warned area through 630 pm. Flash flooding is ongoing.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Abilene, Hamby, Impact and Lake Fort Phantom Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
