...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM CDT THIS 
EVENING FOR SOUTHEASTERN DANE, SOUTHEASTERN GREEN, ROCK AND 
SOUTHWESTERN JEFFERSON COUNTIES...

At 759 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 
and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up 
to 0.5 inches are possible in southeast Dane and southwest Jefferson 
Counties. Some roads do have several inches of water on them. Flash 
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Janesville, Stoughton, Fort Atkinson, Jefferson, Milton, Edgerton, 
  Evansville, Brodhead, Cambridge, Orfordville, Footville, Lake 
  Koshkonong, Lake Ripley, Fulton, Albion, Newark, Magnolia, Utica, 
  Rockdale and Leyden.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
