The National Weather Service in Sacramento has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Sacramento County in central California...

* Until 1100 AM PST Monday.

* At 300 PM PST, Law enforcement and emergency management reported 
  Widespread flooding along the Cosumnes River due to recent heavy 
  rain and multiple levee breaches.  with roads underwater, 
  including California  High 99. Local officials are still sorking 
  to assess the extend of the flooding. Please stay out of the area!

  HAZARD...Life threatening Flooding

  SOURCE...Law enforcement and emergency management reported.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flooding of creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Highway 99 between Galt and Elk Grove and Wilton. 

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Dry Creek, Mokelumne River, Deer Creek, Cosumnes River Overflow, 
  Cosumnes River .

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
