The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Indian River County in east central Florida...
  Southern Brevard County in Florida...
  Northeastern Osceola County in east central Florida...

* Until 1015 PM EDT

* At 742 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a persistent heavy rainfall 
  band from Hurricane Irma moving through Vero Beach northward 
  through southern Brevard county and inland into central Osceola 
  County. Heavy rain from this band in addition to rainfall amounts 
  up to 6 to 7 inches that have already fallen today will produce 
  flash flooding of area roadways and water entering homes. 

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Palm Bay, Melbourne, Sebastian, Vero Beach, Harmony and Satellite 
  Beach. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
