The National Weather Service in Melbourne has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Orange County in east central Florida...
  Seminole County in east central Florida...
  South Central Volusia County in east central Florida...

* Until 1115 AM EDT.

* At 1008 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  heavy rain falling in the area. Between 10 and 12 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Orlando, Deltona, Sanford, Altamonte Springs, Oviedo, Winter 
  Springs, Winter Park, DeLand, Casselberry, New Smyrna Beach, 
  Maitland, Lake Mary, Longwood, Orange City, Lake Helen, Lake 
  Jessup, DeBary, Geneva, Goldenrod and University Of Central 
  Florida.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Little Econlockhatchee River, Saint Johns River, Gee Creek, Wekiva 
  River, Econlockhatchee River and Cow Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
