The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Kossuth County in north central Iowa...
  Emmet County in northwestern Iowa...

* Until 500 AM CDT Saturday.

* At 1046 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. The expected rainfall rate is 1 
  to 3 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to 
  begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Estherville, Okamanpedan Lake, Swan Lake, Iowa Lake, Ingham Lake, 
  High Lake, Armstrong, Swea City, Ringsted, Wallingford, Ledyard, 
  Gruver, Dolliver, Okamanpedan State Park, Wolden County Park, 
  Estherville Municipal Airport and Fort Defiance State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
