The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Green County in central Kentucky...
  Adair County in south central Kentucky...


* Until midnight CDT /100 AM EDT/.

* At 603 PM CDT /703 PM EDT/, emergency management reported 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 5 
  inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 
  inches are possible in the warned area. As steady to moderate 
  rainfall continues, with additional heavy rainfall and storms 
  likely overnight. Flash flooding continues.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Columbia, Greensburg, Bliss, Cane Valley, Mount Gilead, Milltown, 
  Garlin, Flatwood, Coburg and Gadberry.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
