  Northern Rockcastle County in south central Kentucky...
  Northern Jackson County in southeastern Kentucky...
  Lee County in southeastern Kentucky...
  Northwestern Owsley County in southeastern Kentucky...
  South Central Wolfe County in southeastern Kentucky...

* Until 1130 AM EDT.

* At 821 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 4 inches of rain have 
  fallen since midnight in the worst hit areas of Rockcastle and 
  Jackson Counties. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

  Mount Vernon, Beattyville, McKee, Boone, Fincastle, Foxtown, 
  Brazil, Waneta, Blanton Flats, Macedonia, Alcorn, Lakes, Wind 
  Cave, Sandgap, Hisel, Collingsworth, Turkey Foot, Locust Branch, 
  Drip Rock and Kerby Knob.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
