The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Monroe County in southeastern Michigan...

* Until 700 AM EDT.

* At 330 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  torrential rain across the warned area. Up to 3 inches of rain has 
  fallen in northern Monroe county since 2 AM. Additional rainfall 
  is expected at 1 to 2 inches per hour through 430 AM. Flash 
  flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Monroe, Flat Rock, Carleton, Luna Pier, Maybee, La Salle, 
  Gibraltar, Erie, Rockwood, South Rockwood, Estral Beach, Bolles 
  Harbor, Detroit Beach, Woodland Beach, Scofield, Toledo Beach, 
  Newport and Stony Point.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
