The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Nye County in south central Nevada...
  Northwestern Clark County in southern Nevada...

* Until 130 AM PDT.

* At 940 PM PDT, Emergency management officials reported flash 
  flooding on Highway 160 between Pahrump and Mountain Springs 
  Summit from heavy rainfall earlier this evening which produced 
  between 2 and 3 inches of rainfall. Flash flooding is already 
  occurring.

  HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

  IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of normally dry washes
           and roads.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Highway 160 between Pahrump and Mountain Springs Summit, Lower 
  Kyle Canyon Road, Red Rock Canyon, Sandy Valley, Highway 95 
  between Paiute Way and Lee Canyon Road.

Emergency management officials request that motorists do not attempt 
to travel Highway 160 to Pahrump until further notice due to road 
damage and debris.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
