The National Weather Service in San Juan has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Manati, Vega Alta, and Vega Baja...

* Until 745 PM AST.

* At 255 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of 
  rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. 
  Particularly along Rio Grande de Manati and Rio Cibuco.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Flood waters from Rio Grande de Manati floods road #2 from Km 50.7 
to Km 54.3 and nearby areas in Manati. Flood waters from Rio Cibuco 
affects roads #2, PR-675, PR-676, and PR-160 in Vega Baja and Vega 
Alta.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
