The National Weather Service in Rapid City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Oglala Lakota County in southwestern South Dakota...

* Until 1230 AM MDT.

* At 630 PM MDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms 
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 
  inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 
  inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already 
  occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, and streets as well as other poor
           drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Pine Ridge, Porcupine, Kyle, Manderson, Wounded Knee, Batesland, 
  Porcupine Butte Housing, Evergreen, Sharps Corner, Goose Neck 
  Housing, Thunder Valley, Wolf Creek Housing, Lonesome Valley, 
  Calico, Kyle North Route Housing, Wakpamni, Number 4 and Pine 
  Ridge Reservation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
