The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Mercer County in southeastern West Virginia...
  Summers County in southeastern West Virginia...

* Until 800 AM EST Sunday.

* At 930 PM EST, Emergency management reported flash flooding across 
  the warned area. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. 
  Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the 
  warned area.

  This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Across the entire area. This 
  is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
           flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

  IMPACT...This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK
           HIGHER GROUND NOW! Life threatening flash flooding of
           low water crossings, small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to higher ground now! This is an extremely dangerous and 
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are 
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.

Rainfall in similar storms with a saturated ground plus snowmelt has 
been associated with an increased risk of landslides and rockslides. 
If you live on a mountainside or in a cove at the base of a 
mountain, especially near a stream, be ready to leave in advance of 
the storm or as quickly as possible should rising water, moving 
earth, or rocks threaten. Consider postponing travel along mountain 
roads during periods of heavy rainfall.
