...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be 
  possible.

* WHERE...Central Brooks Range rivers and streams, including the 
  following areas, South Slopes Of The Central Brooks Range and 
  Upper Koyukuk Valley.  This includes the cities of Wiseman, 
  Coldfoot, Chandalar Dot Camp, Iniakuk Lake, The Dalton Highway 
  From Mp 165 To Mp 232, Allakaket, Bettles, Evansville, Alatna, 
  Gobblers Knob, Prospect Creek, Finger Mountain, The Yukon River 
  Bridge, And The Dalton Highway From Mp 39 To Mp 164.

* WHEN...Through Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, 
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. 
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - 2-3 inches of rain over past two days along with another 1-2
    inches during the next 12 hours will cause rapid increases in
    stream
    levels. Tributaries to the Koyukuk River could reach bankfull
    levels
    by Sunday evening or Monday morning.

    The Koyukuk River at Bettles and Allakaket will rise
    significantly
    over the next 24 hours and crest late Monday or Tuesday.
    River
    levels at Bettles and Allakaket are currently forecast to
    remain
    below flood stage. The Koyukuk River at Hughes is expected to
    crest
    Wednesday below flood stage.


    IMPACTS:        Expect rapid water level increases over next
    24 hours on
    rivers and streams in the Koyukuk River basin. Minor overbank
    flooding of some Koyukuk River tributaries is possible.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood 
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared 
to take action should flooding develop.
