...Significant snowmelt expected through Thursday...

.A strong Pacific storm is expected to bring significant
precipitation along with very warm temperatures through tonight. 
Snow levels will gradually rise to 8,500 for this afternoon, then 
fall overnight behind the passing cold front. Heavy rainfall of 
half to near 1.00 inch is expected below 8,500 feet. The 
combination of very warm temperatures and heavy rain will lead to 
flooding potential in low lying areas throughout southeast Idaho. 
Increased flow on local rivers may not arrive until late tonight
or Friday.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of central Idaho, eastern Idaho, and southeast Idaho, 
  including the following areas, in central Idaho, Big and 
  Little Wood River Region, Lost River/Pahsimeroi, and Sawtooth 
  Mountains. In eastern Idaho, Upper Snake Highlands. In 
  southeast Idaho, Caribou Highlands, South Central Highlands, 
  and Wasatch Mountains/Idaho Portion. 

* Through late tonight

* Significant rainfall and snowmelt expected.

* Warm temperatures and moderate rainfall through tonight will
  lead to excessive runoff. The potential continues for low-lying
  areas to flood. Small creeks and streams may overrun banks, and
  running water may impact roads, especially in back country areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
