...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 AM CDT/600 AM MDT
TUESDAY FOR THE PERMIAN BASIN, TRANS PECOS, BIG BEND, AND 
PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO...

.A strong upper trough will begin to move over the region
tonight. Since there is a very moist atmosphere in place, showers
and thunderstorms which develop today and tonight will be capable
of producing heavy rainfall that may result in flash flooding. 
Training of thunderstorms over the same areas could enhance 
rainfall totals tonight. The heavy rain will move east tomorrow.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Midland/Odessa has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include portions of southwest Texas and 
  western Texas, including the following areas, in southwest 
  Texas, Big Bend Area. In western Texas, Loving and Ward. 

* Through Tuesday morning

* Heavy rainfall of 1 to 2 inches, with localized amounts near 3
  inches could lead to flash flooding of urban areas, streams, 
  and other low lying areas. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
