...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM CDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following 
  counties, Barbour, Bullock, Elmore, Lee, Macon, Montgomery, 
  Russell and Tallapoosa.

* WHEN...Until 115 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1009 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Eastern Montgomery, Auburn, Opelika, Tuskegee, Tallassee,
    Union Springs, Dadeville, Camp Hill, Notasulga, Hurtsboro,
    Milstead, Shorter, Franklin, Waverly, Tuskegee National
    Forest, Lake Tuskegee, Davisville, Society Hill, Auburn
    University and Liverpool.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
