...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central Arkansas, eastern Arkansas and north 
  central Arkansas, including the following counties, in central 
  Arkansas, Faulkner, Lonoke, Prairie, Pulaski and White. In eastern 
  Arkansas, Jackson and Woodruff. In north central Arkansas, 
  Cleburne, Independence and Van Buren.

* WHEN...Until 300 PM CST.

* IMPACTS...Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from 
  earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and 
  may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1023 AM CST, the public reported heavy rain in the warned
    area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to
    begin shortly. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    North Little Rock, Conway, Sherwood, Jacksonville, Cabot,
    Searcy, Maumelle, Newport, Heber Springs, Augusta, Des Arc,
    Little Rock AFB, Beebe, Greenbrier, Ward, Vilonia, Bald Knob,
    Mayflower, Austin in Lonoke County and Judsonia.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
