...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central Arkansas, north central Arkansas and 
  western Arkansas, including the following counties, in central 
  Arkansas, Conway, Faulkner, Garland, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Saline 
  and Yell. In north central Arkansas, Van Buren. In western 
  Arkansas, Johnson, Logan, Montgomery, Polk and Scott.

* WHEN...Until 300 PM CST.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams 
  continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. 
  Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be 
  passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1115 AM CST, the public reported heavy rain in the warned
    area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to
    begin shortly. Between 5 and 8 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Little Rock, Conway, Russellville, Hot Springs Village,
    Clarksville, Morrilton, Mena, Booneville, Waldron, Paris,
    Clinton, Danville, Perryville, Mount Ida, Dardanelle,
    Greenbrier, Atkins, Pottsville, Mayflower and Lamar.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
