...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM MST /530 PM PST/ THIS 
EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Arizona, including the following counties, La 
  Paz and Yuma and California, including the following counties, 
  Imperial and Riverside.

* WHEN...Until 630 PM MST /530 PM PST/.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 334 PM MST /234 PM PST/, Doppler radar indicated a large
    area of heavy rainfall. Minor flooding is already occurring
    in the advisory area. Up to 0.5 inches of rain has fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Yuma, Somerton, Martinez Lake, Fortuna Foothills, Gadsden,
    San Luis, Blythe, Quartzsite, Cibola, Yuma Proving Ground,
    Palo Verde, Winterhaven, Andrade, Algodones Dunes, Ripley,
    Kinter, Araby, Gordon's Well, Blaisdell and Nicholls Warm
    Springs.
  - HWY 95, HWY 78, I-10, and I-8 corridors.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
