...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of east central Florida, including the following 
  counties, Brevard and Indian River.

* WHEN...Until 1000 PM EST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 733 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
    flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
    advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Palm Bay, Sebastian, Fellsmere, Indian River Shores,
    Sebastian Highlands, Roseland, Barefoot Bay, Sebastian Inlet,
    Wabasso, Winter Beach, Gifford, Vero Lake Estates, Micco,
    Sebastian Inlet State Park, Orchid, North Beach, Wabasso
    Beach, Disneys Vero Beach Resort and Floridana Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
