.Extensive rainfall earlier today has left many areas flooded in 
coastal portions of Sarasota County, with water being reported 
entering buildings along Siesta Key and Saint Armands Key. While 
rainfall rates have slowed, additional showers could worsen flooding 
overnight.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Florida, including the following 
  counties, Manatee and Sarasota.

* WHEN...Until midnight EDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 953 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the warned area. Between 5 and 10 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in
    the warned area.

    Sarasota, Sarasota Springs, Southgate, Kensington Park, The
    Meadows, South Gate Ridge, Ridge Wood Heights, North
    Sarasota, Lake Sarasota, South Sarasota, Gulf Gate Estates,
    Lakewood Ranch, Saint Armands Key, Sarasota Bradenton
    Airport, Fruitville, Bee Ridge, Desoto Lakes, Vamo, Turtle
