...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Big Bend Florida, including the following 
  counties, Gadsden and Leon and Georgia, including the following 
  counties, Decatur, Grady and Thomas.

* WHEN...Until 730 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of 
  water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 431 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected
    to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches
    of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Tallahassee, Havana, Cairo, Quincy, Gretna, Attapulgus,
    Climax, Calvary, Darsey, Concord, Amsterdam, Reno,
    Nickleville, Hinson, Jamieson, Princes Still, Orchard Pond,
    Laingkat, Lake Iamonia and Freemont.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
