...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 AM EST THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Georgia, including the 
  following counties, Brooks, Lanier, Lowndes and Thomas.

* WHEN...Until 915 AM EST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 446 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
    flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
    advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Quitman, Valdosta, Lake Park, Thomasville, Lakeland, Hahira,
    Boston, Ochlocknee, Pavo, Coolidge, I-75 At Exit 16, Moody
    Air Force Base, Remerton, Meigs, Dasher, Morven, Barwick,
    Brooks Co A/p, Blue Springs and Barney.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
