...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central Georgia, including the following 
  counties, Columbia and Richmond and central South Carolina, 
  including the following county, Aiken.

* WHEN...Until 130 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or 
  other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1211 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. 1.5 to 3 inches of rain has already fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    North Augusta, Evans, Augusta, Martinez, Fort Eisenhower,
    Belvedere, Clearwater, Hephzibah, Daniel Field, Glendale,
    Summerville, Midtown, Augusta Mall, Augusta National Golf
    Club, Village Plaza Shopping Center, South Augusta,
    Burnettown, Minnick Park, Forest Hills and Hillcrest Memorial
    Park.
  - This includes the following highways...
    Interstate 520 in South Carolina between mile markers 16 and
    23.
    Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 0 and 5.
    Interstate 20 in Georgia between mile markers 193 and 201.
    Interstate 520 in Georgia between mile markers 1 and 12...and
    between mile markers 14 and 15.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a 
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don't drown.
