...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is 
  expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Missouri, including the following 
  counties, Butler, Carter and Ripley.

* WHEN...Until 545 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  River or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 239 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between
    1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen overnight, occurring
    in areas that already received heavy rainfall last night.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.3 to 0.6 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Poplar Bluff, Doniphan, Naylor, Neelyville, Budapest, Oxly,
    Fairdealing, Milltown, Hunter, Harviell, Grandin and Briar.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
